The Story
Among the red brick mansions, white canvas of the mews and in between the pastel colour palette London’s Earls’ Court invites you for a journey.
A journey to see its busy streets, full of international shops and restaurants that evoke a marketplace with products from around the world and the most exotic cuisines you can imagine.
Where you can experience the great sense of community, meet authentic people creating Earls Court, the heart of London and arts and crafts they once created.

Inspiration: Wetherby Mansions

Something that really struck our attention was this surprising guest – “Tardis” spaceship from the “Dr Who” series. A vehicle that travels between time and space.

The layers of our own memories, which may have happened in Earls Court. First dates, first friends from kindergarten, first grocery shopping in the marketplace. Visits to the local Theater, to the local Market – and observing the timelessness of the Earl’s Court everyday life.
The world has changed since the Dr Who series started to air on TV in 1968 though. But the timeless beauty of Earls Court has stayed the same.

We took photographs of famous Earls Court locations and we started to wonder what’s going to be like in the future?

The Design
The MIXD studio responsible for the interior design searched for inspiration in the past and future of London, using, among others: local crafts and taking into account the cosmopolitan nature of this city.
A palette of warm, sandy colors enlivened with blue accents gives the interior a cozy, homely, relaxing character.
The Mercure common areas and rooms feature a “Layers of Time” theme having been inspired by the iconic Tardis of Doctor Who, which stands in front of nearby Earl’s Court station.

The rooms will have outstanding quality, inspired by local culture with a minimalistic design.

Barnaby’s, the on-site restaurant and bar, has been designed in collaboration with Paris Society.
Central to the theme is the character of Barnaby, who returns to London to enjoy his 60s at home after spending many years discovering the world.
Barnaby embraces both the British pride and the international curiosity so true to his home city, which is reflected in both the restaurant and bar menus, interior design and decorations.
